Movie Pass

2011- 2019

Great idea! For about €9 per month, subscribers could watch a movie per day at their local cinema. The company bought movie tickets at regular prices and assumed that most subscribers wouldn’t actually use the service regularly, like gyms, where most members never come. But the problem was that people liked movies more than they liked going to the gym. MoviePass started losing money on every subscriber and it went bankrupt.
