Google Sony Remote

2012-2014

Google TV was an early attempt to integrate television with the Internet. With the two tech giants Google and Sony working together, it was destined to be a success. Early versions of new technology are prone to failure and even the most successful companies can fail miserably. The Google TV devices were not user-friendly and many tech reviewers wrote that this was best illustrated by the hideous Sony remote. It had 88 separate buttons and controls. In comparison, the competing Apple TV remote had only 6 buttons.
