Twitter Peek was a €200 handheld device that only served one purpose: tweeting. At the time of its release in 2009, you could buy an Iphone for around €120, that could tweet AND make phone calls. So, why was this product ever developed?

The device didn’t even tweet very well; users could only see the first 20 characters of each message, so reading an entire tweet involved a lot of annoyingly slow scrolling. Linked websites were inaccessible, new tweets were delayed, and the list of bad features goes on and on. One tech reviewer wrote: “The Twitter Peek is so dumb it makes my brain hurt.”
